At Skin Care Australia Clinics we only use natural, sugar based dermal fillers for skin rejuvenation. The newer Natural Dermal Fillers are much safer and have much less side effects than some of the synthetic fillers. Natural Dermal Fillers are similar to a component of the body that works to hold moisture in your skin while increasing the elasticity, durability and radiance of your skin. Clear gel Natural Filler injections plump up the skin, fill in wrinkles, and offer a youthful, refreshed look. We only use the premium brand of Dermal Fillers, which give the best results and the longest duration.
When performing this treatment we use ultra strong local anaesthetic cream, which will make it almost pain free. Ice packs are used to limit bleeding and bruising. We then decant the filler into the smallest needles to minimise pain and bruising. They also give a more even, natural result. You can expect the procedure to take around 30 minutes, with the results being immediate.
Follow Up Appointment
You will be requested to return to the clinic approximately 2 weeks following your treatment.
This is an important part of the treatment process as your practitioner will ensure that your treatment is complication free and that you are satisfied with the treatment outcome. The follow up is complimentary.
When can I see results and how long will they last?
Results are immediate. Results will vary from 6-18 months depending on the area treated and which dermal filler product is used for the treatment.
Longevity of results regardless of which dermal filler product is used will vary depending on age, skin type, lifestyle and the area treated.
Is to use the thickest dermal filler on our patients for each area, thereby ensuring that each client receives the most lift and duration of life of product for each area corrected. Deep volumising also looks natural and restores volume to where it is being lost.
SIDE EFFECTS AND REVERSAL PROCEDURE
Side effects are generally injection site related such as slight redness, swelling, lumps/bumps, bruising, itching, skin discolouration, pain and tenderness. The reactions are generally mild to moderate and usually disappear shortly after injection. They typically resolve themselves within a few days, but for some, they may last longer.
Clients can gently apply foundation if cover up is required. Very rarely, infections or cysts can occur after injections of the fillers, but these can always be corrected with use of antibiotics and Natural Filler dissolving injections as a last resort.
To minimise the risk of bruising, we advise all our clients to avoid the following for several days prior to treatment:
• Green tea
• Fish oil capsules, Vitamin E, Ginko Biloba, St John’s Wart
• Anti-inflammatory / Blood Thinning medications such as Aspirin, Ibuprofen and other NSAIDS are all blood thinning and can increase the risk of bruising/swelling after injections.
Schedule your wrinkle relaxer appointment at least 2 weeks prior to a special event which may be occurring.
POST TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS
We recommend all clients to apply ice to the area that was injected about one hour after the procedure, as this will help prevent bruising and swelling.

To assist with any bruising you may wish to apply a topical treatment such as arnica or hirudoid cream.
You may apply a cool compress for 10 mins every hour on the day of treatment (do not apply ice directly to your skin) to assist with any swelling.
Don’t use skin care containing active ingredients such as retinol vitamin c, glycolic acid, lactic acid.
Avoid applying oil based make up during the first 24 hours, mineral make up is fine.
