03 Jan What is Platelet Rich Plasma Treatment?
You may have been hearing about the Platelet Rich Plasma Treatment more and more this year.
We are so excited to have it right here at our Skincare Australia Clinics. This treatment is taking off in the US. Celebrities are swearing by the Platelet Rich Plasma Treatment, so we this it’s time you know more.
What is the Platelet Rich Plasma Treatment?
This treatment is an anti-ageing procedure where our professionals use a micro-needling device to inject your own extracted blood back onto your face. This can increase your collagen production, which can result in glowing, plumped-up, pore-less skin.
How is it performed?
The first step consists of extracting blood from the arm, just like at the doctor’s. Next the blood is put into the tube where the red blood cells are separated from the yellow plasma. Then the protein rich plasma is extracted.
During this process numbing cream is applied all over the face and neck, and stays on for 15 minutes. After the numbing cream is wiped off the protein rich plasma is patted onto the face, section by section.
The micro-needle is then passed over these sections so the plasma can enter the skin. The procedure itself can be merely painless, and is only said to tickle slightly.
What does the Platelet Rich Plasma Treatment do?
This procedure is great for improving the darkness of under eye circles, and the appearance of dull looking skin. The Vampire Facial Treatment has shown to significantly improve skin tone, texture and reduce the appearance of wrinkles.
It is said to be a favourite treatment for 37 year old, reality star Kim Kardashian. As well as older sister 39 year old, Kourtney Kardashian who are known for their youthful looking skin. The PRP and derma-pen (Vampire Facial) treatment is on special this month at our Skincare Australia Clinics for a special price of $499. This great price won’t be around for long so make sure to book a consult today or if you would like to find out more about the treatment contact us.
